International Center for Facial Nerve Surgery
Based on his many years of research into and personal clinical experience with function-preserving or function-restoring operations for facial paralysis, Professor Frey has established the International Center for Facial Nerve Surgery to continue making his outstanding expert knowledge available to patients after leaving the Medical University of Vienna.
The various forms of facial paralysis are analysed, necessary diagnostic measures initiated and a comprehensive treatment concept is drawn up in a close interdisciplinary cooperation and in collaboration with the patient in question. The focus is not only on addressing the specific pathology of the facial nerves and its symptoms, but most of all also on the relevance for the personal life situation of the person concerned. Possible and meaningful operations are discussed to select the best route for the surgical approach to take, and to elaborate the ideal time schedule.
